What is Scopra?
A media platform that helps you increase the reach of your video content. Scopra makes it easy for users to find, share, and return to relevant sections within online videos.
Do I have to give ScopraMedia control of my videos?
No. We only store a link to your video content, so that you remain in full control of your assets.
I already have a transcript of my video. Do I still need to go through ScopraMedia for transcription?
Scopra will accept transcripts as plain text. If you want your transcript to be applied to your video as snippets, we can provide you with the XML format Scopra uses, and you can mark up your own transcript for inclusion into your Scopra system. We provide these services for customers who may not have transcripts or would prefer to have us handle the transcription for them.
What video formats do you support?
The ScopraPlayer makes use of the Silverlight MediaElement, Flash and HTML 5. We support all the same formats MediaElement supports. The full list can be found here
I have some audio files I would like to add to Scopra. Is that possible?
Yes, it is possible. We currently do not have a player that is optimized for audio, but the current player handles audio files too.
I like the Scopra Player, but the colors don’t match my site! Can I change the colors and add my corporate branding?
This is a service ScopraMedia provides to our customers. As a customer, if you would like a version of the player that perfectly fits your web site or if you would like to add corporate branding to the player, contact ScopraMedia.
What do I need to be able to host Scopra on my system?
You will need Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008 along with SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition.
I already have a Silverlight or Flash video player. How hard will it be to change my player?
It is quite simple. If you have a Silverlight player, you only need to change a couple parameters. If you have a Flash player, there are a few more parameters to change, but it is still consolidated to changes in your object or embeded HTML.
